Performances of HELVEMED DISINFECTION products approved by the DGHM/VAH (Germany), Geneva - February 2009
Because it is crucial in our mind to confirm the high disinfecting performances of our products by independent specialists, we have made additional tests on our products INSTRUMENT FORTE and SURFACE FOAM according to the requirements of the German Society of Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) and the Association for Applied Hygiene in Germany (VAH). Results are excellent and these two products are now included on the DGHM/VAH list. Same developments on other Helvemed products are scheduled for 2009.

Helvemed is extending its product line with the introduction of its new flat reels for sterilisation, Geneva - November 2007
Helvemed flat reels for sterilisation to be sealed are made of one side medical paper, ultra strong, allowing steam to get through, and of one side laminated transparent film (polyester and polypropylene) allowing the viewing of the content at any time.The high density paper prevents instruments from perforating it and so from wounding the user. Paper has smooth surface on both sides. Rolls of 200 m individually wrapped. Chemical indicators to reveal the effective sterilising step. Chemical process ink. Ultra resistant paper suitable for autoclaves and Chemiclave. Printed with one indicator of changing colour when sterilised by steam and one indicator when sterilised by ethylene oxide (gas). Helvemed flat reels for sterilisation are compatible with all heat-sealing machines currently available on the market, and are available in three widths (5; 7,5 and 10 cm).
Helvemed is expanding..., Geneva - October 2007
In the wake of Helvemed’s expanding activities in Switzerland and abroad, Helvemed has moved at the beginning of October to a new location which is bigger and more suited to Helvemed’s needs. In pooling the administrative, commercial and logistic department, Helvemed is now able to deal even more efficiently with the orders for Switzerland and is pledging to ship 99 % of the received orders before 4 p. m. on the same day.

Hygiene sounds obvious in dental practices. Helvemed’s new headrest covers suit any patient’s chair. They combine softness and effective protection. By using them, you will keep headrest of your patient’s chair untouched. In addition, you will spare cleaning products which often have a damaging effect on skai. Indeed, skai is quickly and irreversibly damaged by rubbing hair against headrest. Furthermore, patient is likely to appreciate putting his head on a clean and protected surface against hair rubbing. Helvemed is renewing its product line with the introduction of surgical face masks with visors, Geneva – May 2007

Helvemed is extending its innovative product line in the area of prevention of infections contracted during medical treatments. The risks of eye contamination are often not sufficiently recognized, although they definitely pose a real danger, especially during surgical operations using instruments that generate aerosols or other sprays of biological fluids.

Helvemed surgical face masks of type II R (norm EN 14683 : 2005) are “cool”, soft, latex-free, fibreglass free and odourless. The masks are made of four layers of material and provide you with high filtration efficiency (BFE > 99%). For your security they are equipped with both a special film, made of a hexagonal structure polyethylene net, and a special polypropylene microfibres filter. Helvemed visors are submitted to a special treatment that makes them anti-fogging on both sides. Furthermore, they are antistatic, reflection-free, flexible and liquid splash resistant. The visors are made of a very transparent and special polyester film which is studied to avoid any optical distortion.
